Groggily check phone, freak the fuck out due to the leading edge of this storm being about 5 miles away, run across house in boxers with car keys, move Caddy into garage as quickly as humanly possible while still half asleep.

There’s nothing I can do for the wife’s big ass Expedition. Still no hail, but keeping my fingers crossed and knocking on wood.

You drove a Caddy in your boxers during the middle of the night? So early 80s...

If I had some coke and a hooker with poofy hair, it would be perfect.

It blew through here a couple hours ago - lots of lightning and rain, but nothing like the hail Dallas got last week.

I just read that Helotes and SA had 3.5" hail. A buddy just posted a video from his parents’ house in that area showing the windows of their house being shattered by it.

The hail was a nice alarm...at some godawful early hour. Wasn’t really bad though.

My sis in DFW got some of that baseball sized hail. Wylie got softball sized. I’m used to giant hail from up there. I’ll take the penny sized stuff - it probably pruned my bushes for me.

Thanks for sending it over to us. You couldn’t keep a little more for yourself?

If that was the Northeast, the whole country would be on lockdown in a state of emergency. Down South, we all just call that "spring storms." Florida just calls it a Day Ending in Y. Still, the randomness of tornadoes and hail still kinda freaks me out. You never really get used to it.

We kept a lot of the red for ourselves. YOU’RE WELCOME.

Sometimes I’d rather have the intensity than the volume. What blew through in an hour there will be hanging around here ALL DAY.

Did you get any hail? I was watching this storm last night on WeatherUnderground, and they indicated 1.25" hail south of Austin. I’m north, so all we got was lightning and rain, but I saw stories of softball sized hail up in North Texas. What’s next, locusts? No wait, it’s spring, so the crickets are next.

Meh. Some wind, some rain, MAYBE just a bit of hail (didn't see any at my house, other areas got it). Just a storm accompanying a cold front.

Some areas right around us got some hail, but we didn’t. Helotes apparently got smacked with some big hail last night. I woke up to some rather large rain drops hitting my bedroom window and performed said near-naked car harboring because I was worried that it would lead to less soft precipitation.

Ball cap and jacket are sufficient for me. Makes my outdoor-based job a bit more difficult, though. Hope you made it out alright, mang.

It actually blew through pretty quickly. I stayed up until the stars were out again, about 45 minutes after I woke up.

Dunno, I am used to it. My mom is visiting and was freaking the hell out, I stood in the car port, had a glass of wine and watched the torrents of rain, then went to bed and slept through the storm.
